Cloud Application Backup (CAB) for Microsoft 365 Exchange Online covers the following:
Data backup (emails, contacts, tasks, calendars, and notes)
Backup can be activated for all or selected user accounts.
CAB backs up both the regular and the archive mailboxes, if Exchange Archiving is enabled.
CAB restore process is non-destructive—that is, the restored data does not overwrite the existing one.
To administer CAB for Exchange Online in your Microsoft 365 environment, the following are required:
Microsoft 365 (Business, Education, Enterprise, Government, or Nonprofit) with Exchange included.
Microsoft 365 account with global administrator or Exchange administrator role and application impersonation configured.
