An overage occurs when the used cloud storage exceeds the purchased cloud storage.
This can happen when the retention policies on the primary appliance versus the secondary (cloud) appliance are different – that is, keeping more jobs on the secondary than on the primary. In this case, you have to either upgrade your subscription by increasing the amount of the purchased cloud storage, or to reduce the used cloud storage.
If you entered into a customer agreement prior to March 2, 2021, you may be subject to the Overage Billing & Fair Use Policy attached as an exhibit to your customer agreement (the Fair Use Policy), in which event the terms of that Fair Use Policy govern.
