Configure Microsoft SQL Server backup on Cloud Failover Appliance

What you need

  • A configured CFA on the same local network as Microsoft SQL Server.

  • A configured DR Backup Agent on the computer with Microsoft SQL Server.

How it works

  1. Install the DR Backup Agent on the computer with Microsoft SQL Server.

  2. In the CFA Management Console, go to ClientsEdit.

  3. Locate and click the client created for Microsoft SQL Server backup.

  4. In the File & Folder group, click the Edit icon against File Set.

  5. In the open File Set Editor dialog:

    • In the Backup Plug-in Control group, select Enable/Override for SQL Server.

    • Remove the default starting directory C:\.

  6. Configure the backup schedules and retention policy.

  7. Click Apply, and then click Activate Configuration.
