Error. Invalid credentials host parameter

Error message

Hyper-V Backup Failure: java.util.concurrent.ExecutionException: redstone.xmlrpc.XmlRpcFault: Invalid credentials host parameter '\203.0.113.17syxplplcr9t6vgsn9JVAZLWRT-OB24-BORB-X90N-VGP89M4PM16Q', please provide a valid path to network shared folder on samba-server (\serversharedFolder)

Steps to resolve

  1. Stop all Infrascale services on the client.

  2. In the Management Console of the Backup & Disaster Recovery appliance, go to Clients › Edit.

  3. Select the client with issues.

  4. In the General group, change the operating system to any other than Windows.

  5. Click Apply to save changes, and then click Activate configuration so the changes take effect.

  6. Change the operating system back again.

  7. Click Apply to save changed, and then click Activate configuration so the changes take effect.

  8. Start all Infrascale services on the client.

  9. Start the test full backup of the VM that had bad backups.
