Unregister a VMware virtual machine

When you unregister a VMware virtual machine (VM) from the Cloud Failover Appliance (CFA), its associated client is also deleted.

To unregister all VMs available via the VMware connection and to remove their respective local clients from the CFA at once, see Remove connection.

To unregister an individual VM:

  1. In the CFA Management Console, go to ClientsVMware.

  2. Select a registered VM on the list.

  3. Click Unregister on the actions toolbar, or right-click the selected VM, and then click Unregister in the context menu.

    Unregister VM

The Unregister Virtual Machines dialog opens.

  4. In the open dialog:

    1. Select if you want to delete all backup jobs associated with the VM, or to keep them in the system.

Pinned jobs will not be deleted automatically.

    2. Click Yes to unregister the VM, and wait for the process to complete.

  5. Click Activate configuration to apply changes.

    Activate configuration

The CFA unregisters the VM, removes the relevant VM client, and deletes all jobs associated with the VM (if selected).
